Fitness to Practise
When applying for registration you must be able to demonstrate to the Council that you are a fit person to practise in the profession of medical laboratory science.
You must be able to satisfy the Council that you have not been convicted by any New Zealand court or elsewhere of any offence punishable by imprisonment for a term of three months or longer.
If you have been convicted as per above, you must be able to satisfy the Council that the offence does not reflect adversely on your fitness to practise as a medical laboratory scientist or medical laboratory technician.
You must satisfy the Council that you are/have not been the subject of/being investigated in association with, professional disciplinary proceedings, and/or an order of a professional disciplinary tribunal.
