New Requirement for Registration Applications from Overseas-Trained Practitioners

From January 2012 the Board requires all registration applicants who are overseas-trained to complete a learning module on the importance of the Treaty of Waitangi for the delivery of healthcare services in New Zealand.

The learning module - Healthcare and the Treaty of Waitangi - is done online at www.mauriora.co.nz and will cost $20.00 (NZD) to complete.

On successful completion of Healthcare and the Treaty of Waitangi applicants can download a certificate verifying they have successfully met the requirements of the learning module.  A certified copy of this certificate must be included with all the other documentation required to be attached to the Board's Application for Registration form.
