Standards for Recertification Programmes
All recertification programmes for medical laboratory scientists must be approved by the Council.
Providers of recertification programmes must apply to the Council for approval of their programme. All applications to provide a recertification programme will incur a non-refundable fee of $1000.00.

Providers of recertification programmes are required to enter a contractual agreement with the Council. Contractual agreements are usually for a period of 3 years at which time they are liable for review and renewal.
Providers of recertification programmes are responsible for undertaking ongoing audits to ensure individual practitioners comply with the requirements of the recertification programme. Such audits are to be managed by a person/s outside of the provider agency.
