Consultation: proposed changes to anaesthetic technician practitioner fees 2027/28

15 Oct, 2026

The Council is consulting on a proposal to increase anaesthetic technician (AT) practitioner fees for the 2027/28 practising year.

Before making a decision, the Council wants to hear from practitioners and other interested stakeholders and invites submissions from interested parties. The easiest way to make a submission is by completing the online survey.

Why are fee changes being proposed?

The proposed fee changes are intended to help the Council meet the ongoing costs of carrying out its regulatory functions and responsibilities.

Proposed fee changes

The Council is proposing that:The Annual Practising Certificate (APC) fee increases to $610.00 (including GST).

  • The disciplinary levy increases to $70.00 (including GST).
  • A new fee is introduced for the accreditation and monitoring of education programmes, set at $150.00 per hour (including GST). This fee would only apply to education providers.
