Medical Laboratory Science practitioner fees consultation

23 Oct, 2024

We invite you to take part in a consultation about the proposed increase of medical laboratory science practitioner and applicant fees for the 2025/2026 practising year - being run by Te Kaunihera Pūtaiao Hauora O Aotearoa ǀ the Medical Sciences Council (the Council).

The Council’s income comes mainly from fees associated with the issuing of practising certificates. Based on the current volume of practitioners, and other factors, and to ensure there are sufficient funds to operate effectively, we project the Council will need to increase practitioner fees for the 2025/2026 practising year. For more information about the proposed fee increase, including the consultation document, see details below. You can also access the survey here.

If you wish to provide feedback on the proposed fee changes please ensure your submission is with us by 11.59pm on Monday 2 December 2024.

Consultation responses may be published on the Council’s website unless you have asked us not to. If you’re making a submission as an individual we’ll automatically remove your personal details and any identifiable information.

If you have any queries, please email mscconsultations@medsci.co.nz or phone us on 04 801 6250.
